Hi, I’m Morgan
And I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m a licensed professional counselor in private practice in Athens, Georgia, where I work with teens, college students, young adults, and adults navigating life’s challenges. Whether you're carrying the weight of past trauma, navigating grief, battling anxiety or depression, or struggling with body image or an eating disorder—I offer a safe and compassionate space to help you heal and grow.
My clinical approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Theory, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. I believe in the power of deep story work- understanding what’s shaped you, what you’re carrying, and how it is showing up in your life and relationships.
I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Oklahoma State University. My experience includes working in a women’s shelter supporting survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence, counseling college students at a university counseling center, and serving in a Christian private practice. These roles have given me deep experience in grief and trauma work—two areas I feel especially passionate about.
As a Christian, my faith deeply motivates the work I do. While I serve clients from all backgrounds and belief systems, I’m happy to incorporate your Christian faith into our work together, to the extent that you would find helpful.
On a personal note, I recently moved to Athens with my husband after living in Charlottesville, Virginia, for five years. I’m excited to settle into the UGA community, find my favorite local Mexican restaurants, and enjoy all the charm Athens has to offer. Outside the therapy room, you can usually find me taking group fitness classes, decorating (pretty much anything), reading fiction, or enjoying a long walk outdoors with a good podcast.
Mission Statement
At the heart of my practice is a belief that our stories matter—even the ones that feel unfinished, fractured, or heavy with grief. I offer a space where faith and doubt can coexist, where healing isn’t rushed, and where being seen is its own kind of restoration. As a Christian counselor shaped by both hope and heartache, I believe God meets us not only in redemption, but in presence—and that counseling can be a sacred place to experience both.
